I have always been curious about the paranormal and am very excited to have found this group. I have had experiences in the past and would love to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes. I have three wonderful children and am recently divorced so I have some extra time on my hands and I look forward to being a part of the team. I do have a full-time job during the day but am committed to making time for the monthly meetings and hopefully some investigations in the future. |

I am first and foremost a student of Psychology, and very passionate about the field of the Paranormal. I approach investigations grounded in the knowledge I've gained through studying Psychology. It's helped me maintain a healthy balance between skepticism and belief. As a child I loved ghost stories, but when the story ended I always wanted more. I wanted to know if ghosts really existed. This would later launch my studies into the paranormal as an adult. In 2000 I had yet to experience anything paranormal other than a few scattered dreams that would come true. I searched everywhere rumors of ghosts would lead me, but came up empty. Then I visited (and fell head over heels for) the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. When I started investigating the hotel 6 years ago I started experiencing unidentifiable sounds, objects moving on their own, anomalous photos, and documented EVPs. I had finally had my 15 minutes with the other side, and have been relentlessly seeking more knowledge ever since. The field of the paranormal, I believe, is in its infancy right now just as the field of Psychology was 100 years ago. Psychology struggled to gain cedibility in the scientific community, but look where it has led us today. Imagine the possibility of what the paranormal could teach us as it gains more credibility. Its something very, very special that we're all a part of. |

My name is Shelly Robbins and I have been interested in the Paranormal since I was a small child. We had an historical building in our family that was a plantation, a Girls Boarding School and the headquarters during the Civil War. My family had several experiences there and I never really questioned whether paranormal activity was real or not as I had experienced it often. I also have a long personal history of precognition and ESP so I am always interested finding out more about the unknown. Being a twin, I do have some theories about why we have experienced ESP and precognition with each other but that doesn't account for the other instances that did not pertain to her. Because I am generally more sensitive to things I tend to witness and experience paranormal activity. I sometimes feel like a beacon for it. Either way I am curious to investigate it further. I'm interested in ARPAST because I have looked into several groups and ARPAST seems to be the most professional, organized and the most technologically advanced group in Arkansas. By studying with your group I hope to find some answers to some of the phenomenons that I as well as others have experienced whether they be paranormal or explainable by scientific means. I also hope to be able to benefit ARPAST by performing the functions of sales and marketing as well as assisting with fund raising efforts. |
